Teenagers lose both parents over a 13 month period

On the 1st May 2016 Tegan and Ruben were with their dad, Stephen Allpress (age 54) when the diagnosis of terminal brain cancer was given. Over the period of 9 months, they witnessed their dad suffer and pass away peacefully on the 10th February 2017. On the 18th August 2017 their grandmother, Ann Allpress (age 77) died suddenly. Their world was rocked again when on the 5th March 2018 their mother, Louise Jones (age 52), teacher at Westbrook Primary School, Rotorua for 26 years, devoted mother, suddenly passed away at home.

Tegan (age 19) is in her second year of a 5 year degree studying a Batchelor of Arts and Majoring in Art History, plus a Batchelor of Fine Arts at Auckland University. Ruben (age 17) is in Year 13 at Western Heights High School, Rotorua and next year is heading to Auckland University to do a degree in Civil Engineering. He is currently living with a great family friend, Tracy and Ross Curry in Rotorua while he completes his studies.
