Riley’s Leukaemia Journey 2022 Sky City Fire Fighter Challenge

On April 16th 2020, In the middle of level 4 lockdown our family received the news that no parent should ever have to hear.... ‘We are so sorry to have to tell you.... Riley has cancer”. This was days before his and his twin brothers 4 birthday.

As we get closer and closer to the anniversary of this day, we are grateful for the progress Riley has made on treatment and that all going well, his end of treatment will be middle to end 2022. We would Ike to use the next year to raise funds for Leukaemia Blood Cancer and the 2022 Sky City Fire Fighters Challenge so that Riley can go up to Auckland to be at the finish line cheering on our team from Tawa Volunteer brigade.

This will as mark the start of the countdown for Riley’s End of Treatment date after 3 years on chemo due to be end of July 2022 and we cannot think of a more fitting way to do this.
