A fundraising page for
Nationwide
In May 2024 the unthinkable happened. A triple cancer diagnosis that would require months of medical intervention, against some pretty stiff odds. Dan, the quietly assured patriarch of the Fong fam, was unwell. Gravely unwell.
Since then, Dan has undergone extensive and prolonged medical intervention, the likes of which have been experienced by very few. He has spent much of the time since his diagnosis in hospital wards, being assessed and reassessed, challenging the hearts and minds of medical professionals across a raft of disciplines.
For his family, and in particular his wife, Leece (Lisa) and their four beautiful boys, it has meant a gaping hole in the fabric of their being. The uncertainty, the disruption and the emotional turmoil continues as Dan’s current treatment requires him to be many miles from home, and from his boys. This will mean complicated logistics, an unfair amount of stress and a raft of additional day to day costs.
We are hoping to raise money to support the whole family as they navigate these unchartered waters. But in particular, are focusing our deep aroha on the four Fong boys.
Rico, Carlos, Louis and Teina. This is for you.
The Aunties of MIM
We are a subgroup (the Aunties) of an online workout platform called Move it Mama. Lisa Fong, the founder has provided so much to our community - well beyond exercise. We are fundraising to give back to her and her family.
The care, support and wellbeing needs of the four Fong boys and their family as they navigate Dan's ongoing treatment.
