Help us with the final part to bring our Massey Ferguson Roller Tractor back to life.
Canterbury
The club has had our specially built Massey Ferguson Tractor on roller wheels since the 1960's, it was one of two modified for cricket ground curating and it holds a special place in the heart of one our life members Thomo. The tractor has had what would kindly be described as running repairs for the last 15 years or so. The tractor needs some new parts to complete this and get it running and back to life - unfortunately this project at the moment is not a 'must have' for the club finances and we turn to give a little for some extra help.
We were lucky, or as it turns out VERY lucky to have a new family come to the club and offer to get a few repairs done to get it running. Well this turned to a much bigger issues and turned into a full on overhaul and I won't go into the detail now but this family have put in all the time and pulled all the connections of family friends and work colleagues to nearly all the work done. I am not going to spoil the reveal now.... but with your help for the lasts parts can get it back to the ground for the start of the new season.
We need a replacement carburettor, some other small parts, decking for the tray of the tractor. Any money raised above the goal will got towards grounds equipment and our new storage area
Tractor completed and back at Burnside Park 23 September 2021
Thanks to everyone who donated the funds for the final parts of our tractor, the new parts are now fitted and it has been returned to Burnside Park. We will be writing a story about this on our website and how it transformed through the generosity and hard work of a few club members.
