Kia ora whānau,
I'm Liv - The owner of Two Little Angels
This is about my journey with baby loss. it's about finding the strength, courage and resilience to turn something so tragic into something beautiful.
I first discovered the world of casting when my first son Joe was born in 2019. He tragically passed away at 25 weeks gestation from pre-eclampsia. When he came into the world I had a young woman visit me in the hospital from a charity to cast his feet and hands. A few weeks later she gave me a beautiful framed set of his casts.
My second son, Loki was born in 2020 and tragically he passed away at 24 weeks gestation, again from pre-eclampsia. When Loki came into the world it was during one of the first covid lockdowns and there were no services available to cast his little hands and feet. So I used what I had and with the help of my midwife we made casts of Loki's tiny feet.
Joe and Loki's casts are my most precious keepsakes and were essential in navigating me through my journey with grief.
I've started Two Little Angels in the hopes to support parents, family and whānau with memory-making when their child dies or is experiencing end of life care.
Based in Greymouth, this is a free service for families in the West Coast area.
