Riding our bikes from Switzerland to New Zealand to support young women in their dream to do something extraordinary

Main image

We are three kiwis riding our bikes home from Switzerland to New Zealand.

What started as some idle chat whilst climbing mountain passes on our bikes in Switzerland, has turned into a reality. We have quit our jobs and will be setting off from Lausanne, April 30th 2018.

Destination - New Zealand

Join us as we strap our essentials to our bikes and head off through Europe, Turkey, Iran, 'the Stans', China and South East Asia before the final trek down the length of New Zealand. Camping, head winds, tail winds, snow storms, heat waves, border crossings, navigation errors, yarns with the locals and many, many laughs. We would like to connect with as many Olympians in each country along the way, to understand their stories, share ours and help spread the Olympic values.

In a nutshell - one huge adventure

With your help, we want to make the trip as much about raising money to help young women achieve their sporting goals as it is about us having an adventure. When we were young, all three of us benefitted from generous people who shared our vision, believed in us, and helped to kick start our sporting careers with financial support to purchase oars, javelins and the odd plane ticket.

So we thought it was a great opportunity to give back and support some young women in their dream to do something extraordinary; young women who are not afraid to have a crack. So we are raising funds for the Forward Foundation (www.forwardfoundation.co.nz) that is closely aligned with what we want to achieve.

So please give generously, we are pedalling hard to reach our target of $1 per km. Let's do it!!
