They’ve helped so many over a lifetime: now its our turn to help Doc and Marg McDonald👊
Hawke's Bay
Don "Doc" McDonald has had a life long association with Rowing. Firstly as a successful oarsman for Union Wanganui and Canterbury and then as a coach to hundreds of young rowers in Christchurch, Whanganui and Hawkes Bay. He has given untold hours of voluntary time and support , paying if forward, to so many, and now his and Margaret's home, and everything in it, has been destroyed in the Hawkes Bay floods. 100% of the money raised will goto Margaret and Doc to help them get back on their feet. Thanks .
On behalf of the Michelin Men’s VIII and rowing, we’re aware of how much Doc has done for our sport, and see this as an opportunity to give back: thank you Doc and Margaret for so much over so many years👍
Doc and Margaret’s property has been devastated by cyclone Gabrielle and the resulting floods, and this an opportunity to show our appreciation for what they have done for the sport of rowing, and give them a hand during the recovery. They have no insurance.
With the greatest thanks 5 March 2023

They have brought back so many wonderful memories and it has been lovely to hear from some of you we have not seen in many years. Thank you ever so much again.
Sending much love,
