Kiwis Stand with Ukraine

Ukraine is facing an unimaginable horror on their land from a force that wants to take from them their independence, their sovereignty and their identity, in the name of selfish and evil ideas that the world is proving don't belong here. We call upon the amazing generosity of kiwis to give whatever we can to protect the people of Ukraine and prove to future generations that when evil came to our doorstep, we showed defiantly it wasn't welcome.

My partner, Alexandra Vetrov, has family in Kyiv and our hearts are breaking time and time again throughout the day as we witness what evil forces are imposing on the democratic and free people of Ukraine.

Our appeal will go to an official not-for-profit organisation who is concentrating all of their efforts into the current situation in Ukraine; Razom. We have not taken this decision lightly and have spoken to parties both in New Zealand and Ukraine to ensure the funds we raise go to an organisation that is making a difference right now.

Razom (meaning 'Together' in Ukrainian) is an organisation that was born in 2014 with a purpose to build a pathway to a better future for Ukraine. Razom has since entirely refocused their efforts to purchasing medical supplies for critical situations like blood loss and other tactical medicine items. They have a large procurement team of volunteers that track down and purchase supplies and a logistics team that then gets them to Ukraine.
