  • A Long Obedience

    It's been two years since I launched this Sabbath Lodge Givealittle funding campaign, which has raised a little over $1000. Many would say I should give up because the total raised is well short of my $5M target. I am choosing instead to stay committed to a long obedience in the same direction because I know I am going after a dream destined to fail without divine intervention!!

  • Celebrating Small Beginnings

    It's been a few months since the Sabbath Lodge - 'Dream 2 Reality' Project page went live. As I look back and reflect, I am reminded of Zacariah's advice, "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin" (4:10).

    So, here's my first praise report:

    The Sabbath Lodge Dream 2 Reality project has a long way to go, but, thanks to the donations of four generous people, the funding campaign has now officially started! Here's to $503 becoming 5M in time! I am also thankful for all the support and encouragement I am receiving through National Community Church (NCC), Christian Coaching Network International (CCNI) and my friends within the Daredream community of Christian entrepreneurs.

      As an American litigation attorney my days are filled with conflict, deadlines and massive uncertainty. In my profession it is so easy to get consumed by the work to such an extent that one cannot see the forest through the trees. Today, the day before Thanksgiving in America, is generally a time that I am working with my head down like any other. But this year is different. My dialogue with Dru has helped me stay focused on what matters, and ignore all the distractions. Dru's main message is as simple as it is profound: we need to rest. The sabbath is a gift from God that I regularly reject in the name of efficiency and productivity, modern words used to enslave the planet like the slaves in ancient Egypt. Dru's dream for a facility that promotes our acceptance of God's sabbath gift is beautiful and sorely needed in my eyes. I wholeheartedly support this effort to get us to slow down and rest. It’s an imagined future of training and rest, far superior to what’s presently available, with a framework of location, instruction, and culture that motivates, encourages, and builds an effective strategy for helping people to move forward in their lives and career. Her Vision has the potential to help people in all walks of life to overcome the status quo of existence and reach into the arena of what’s not only possible, but essential. Her knowledge and ability to coach others around the use of “Rest” is an indispensable ingredient to help someone to move forward in their life despite the confusion and turmoil that permeates the world. Dru is the Visionary leader and coach who will help others to find the “Rest” they have wanted, they have needed, and they have been lost without.
