The Sparkle Project transforms unwanted jewellery and beads into beautiful pieces to gift to local and national charities and groups.
Tahunanui, Nelson
My community initiative transforms donated, unwanted jewellery and beads into meaningful handmade pieces with the help of my small-but-mighty team of volunteers.
We accept broken necklaces, odd earrings, old beads – each item is carefully deconstructed, sorted, and then re-crafted with care (and a little sparkle) into something beautiful and wearable again. They are then gifted to charities and community groups, to use for fundraising, or passing on to the people with would do with some sparkle. Each piece is made with love and purpose and no two are the same, just like the people who receive our mahi.
Now, we dream of growing The Sparkle Project into a nationwide movement—delivering not just jewellery, but hope, dignity, and moments of joy to people from all walks of life.
But we can’t do it alone. Every dollar helps us reach someone new with a little sparkle. And if you have some unloved jewellery or beads? Please think to send them our way!
This is not a registered charity – just a heartfelt, local give-back initiative. Thank you so much for supporting our sparkle journey.
The Sparkle Project is a community give-back initiative that I founded.
