Help us raise funds for our new lifeguard building!!
Warrington, Otago
Warrington Surf Lifesaving Club is located on the Otago coast north of Dunedin. Our building project is focused on the construction of a new lifeguarding facility. Currently, we use an A-frame that is over 40 years old. It is not efficient or safe to continue using the building, as the facilities, including the kitchenette, lifeguard space, changing rooms, and first-aid area, are not up to standard and affect the safety of our lifeguards.
We plan on replacing the A-frame with a new lifeguarding facility. We will have new changing rooms that will be larger to accommodate the growing number of lifeguards and a kitchenette and lifeguard space that can be warm, useable and safe. Most importantly, we will have a first-aid room ensuring the public will have a clean and private space when receiving help. The anticipated period of the build will be March to November 2025.
The new building will give us the space to train our existing lifeguards and support the development of new lifeguards. At the heart of this service is the need to have a facility that is functional to deliver our core volunteer lifeguard activities. The aim is to have an environment that is safe and comfortable that serves to promote the Club as a resource and hub for the community.
We have had lots of requests from people to donate to the club. We thought this page would be the easiest way for people to donate!
We are a family-centred club that supply lifesaving services at Warrington beach during the summer.
The funds will be used to fund the lifeguarding area of our new building.
