Day 6 Post surgery and Melissa is making steady progress.
True to her personality Melissa has remained positive and humorous and is coping remarkably well given the loss of her right eye.
The healing and rehabilitation process is underway although there are daily obstacles to overcome.

Enter details of your update here Well 5 weeks of radiation are now over so the first part of my journey is complete . Have had some yukky side effects , but not to bad . The girls in the radiation department have been so lovely , and my family and friends have been so supportive without them I would not have been able to get to my appointments . I have a date for surgery for the next part off my journey which is dec 8th so that will be the next huge step , but one day at a time . My husband karl myself and our 4 children would like to thank everyone for all your amazing donations it is so overwhelming and just blows us away with everyone's generosity . Thank you all so much .
