Support Jesse Minnell & his family

Jesse is a 24 year old Wanganui lad who is currently living and studying in Palmerston North. He is the kind of mate that is always happy to see you, loves to joke around and you never see him without a smile on his face. He was back in town for the weekend to visit his family and friends. Friday evening was supposed to be a usual Wanganui night for Jesse, where he could knock back a few beers with his mates and catch up with people he hadn't seen in a while.

Jesse was leaving The Red around 2am on Saturday morning to walk home when he was hit by an unlicensed driver who did not stop. Jesse suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Whanganui Hospital before being airlifted to Wellington Hospital. He was admitted to intensive care in a critical condition and thankfully, after several days he is now in a stable condition.

Jesse is waking up more often and he is smiling at everyone. The hospital has moved him from intensive care to neurology to better help with his head injury. He is much more responsive and has even asked for some KFC which shows not a lot has changed! He is improving heaps as the week progresses but he still has a long way to go.

We'd like to raise some money to help with Jesse's recovery and living costs while he is out of action and also to support his family who haven't left his side since the accident (his dad is currently sleeping in his van).

We know you all love him and the family to bits so anything we can raise will seriously help as this has been so horrifically terrible and unexpected.
