Pretty desperate for help now... rent, food, flights to a wedding and a funeral, help with life...
Hesitantly asking for support for a better life and hope in the struggle (also very open to non-financial support, whatever that looks like)

I'm (usually) a happy guy (despite the depressing mess below) who has just been dealt bad cards again and again.
The most recent bad card - a card-iac arrest :-( Currently in hospital, deciding whether or not to get an EV ICD to save my life if it happens again. But the future doesn't look so bright.
--> Can't work for weeks, can't play sport for weeks, can't drive for six months (desperately appealing this) - and for a person that can't take public transport because of severe motion sickness, this is heartbreakingly limiting.
Other cards I've been dealt, some I still struggle with and have been 'overcoming' for 24 years:
- Chronic nausea
- Chronic fatigue
- IBS
- Testicular Cancer
- Glandular Fever/E.B. Virus
- Another virus I had for 18 months that was, by a wide margin, the worst thing I've ever had
- Meningitis
- Arthritis (knee and neck injuries)
....unfortunately that's about half the list, but fortunately, most of the worst are among the above
I spent most of my life since 13 sick in my room, but I have tried hard to climb out of that life and for 4 years I have worked as a support worker for people with spinal injuries (I've had lovely clients!) and a year ago I studied software development and have been working P-T as an assistant trainer (tutor) helping others learn coding as well (lovely students!) while looking for a F-T job
My car is my livelihood, so if I can't drive... Luckily, my flat is next to some nice walks so if my friends come to me, summer won't be a total loss :-)
Use of funds
- Rent and flat expenses (no savings - WINZ are helping 15%)
- Flights and accommodation to bro's wedding :-) flights to my partner's dad's funeral - Oct 27 :-(
- Taxi fares (if desperate enough to risk the motion sickness)
- E-bike (maybe a bit ambitious)
