Awhinatia te whānau Pomana - Help for our Pomana whānau. Tautoko for Phenix to push through his recent cancer diagnosis.
Hastings, Hawke's Bay
Recently, Jordan and Cheryl’s eldest son, Phenix, has been diagnosed with leukaemia. It was a big shock to this whānau, Phenix, his partner and their 3-year-old daughter. Their lives changed dramatically, and the day after diagnosis, Phenix was sent to Wellington and is undergoing chemotherapy. There is a drug that the doctors want to use for Phenix, but it is expensive and won’t likely be funded till July. This drug is called Midostaurin. This leaves a whānau that gives so much in a precarious position.
This whānau has given so much to our community through basketball and their giving, caring hearts. We are asking for some help from our community to lighten their load now. A little putea to help with the travel, accommodation, supporting their little one, and possibly treatment for Phenix until July.
