Over the last 10 weeks I have been attending chemotherapy once a week, at first it was very tiring having this medicine run through my body and my body trying to adjust. So far I have not lost any hair even though I shaved it head before chemo started, it is growing back different it is very fluffy and course. I have two more sessions of this type of chemo and then I will not be taking a break but continue straight into the next 12 week rounds of the more intense chemo, this one will take my immune system right down. So as I buckle up for winter and possibly a rough ride, I am excited that I have almost done the first length. It has been a big struggle cabin fever, too cold to go out and also very afraid of this time of year alot of sickness in the community. I was very sick for 3 weeks and I really don't want to go through that again. My kids have been great at understanding and keeping routine has been stabling for this journey. I have had to deal with some personal stuff and for that reason I started back at therapy and I have got the girls into counselling also. I have been quietly doing a Maori course on being a Maori practioner, which is keeping my mind on my mahi. Cant wait for spring time, I should be done with all the chemo and moving into the radiation phase of treatment and I should be able to return to work, I can't wait. May open this donation page again.

Really focusing on my overall health. Thank you for ongoing support, it's very appreciated xx.

Kia Ora whanau, post surgery update, surgery went really well, was alot of pain after surgery, stayed in hospital for three days post surgery to get a good pain management regime, finally arrived home yesterday, was super lovely to come home and my tittie committee had serviced my house inside and out, so much gratitude for all that mahi. Was lovely to be home when the kids got home, and to be together again, so much fulfilling feels. Unfortunately woke up to the news that wilhemina has caught covid, so now we are having to keep our whanau seperated as to keep me safe from covid. I'm really gutted about that, but I'm aware the risk isn't worth getting that kind of sick whilst I'm already on a healing journey. Very blessed to have friends that are willing to keep supporting us even though covid is present in the house. Very tired alot of the time. Can't wait to receive visitors once covid has cleared out.

Surgery went really well from what the doctor said. Felt great after surgery, pretty sure that was the drugs lol, laying here feeling annoyed I can't sleep, but been in a fair amount of pain that they still haven't sorted, but may take a while for them to get my pain tolerance. Time to listen to tunes and try and sleep. Can't wait to get home.

Kia Ora whanau, just got off the phone with breast clinic nurse, I have a treatment plan that looks a little different than I first anticipated, at this stage they are taking one breast but I will ask for both to be taken, I don't want to go through this again. They may happen ina seperate second surgery, I have pre admission next week 7/2/24, and the surgery on the 16th, it will take three hours and I will stay in hospital for up to two nights. After some post surgery healing time I will do chemotherapy, followed by radiation therapy and then lastly hormone therapy. That's alot of fricken therapy, after all is said and done we will talk about reconstruction surgery and what I want from that if that is the route I chose. This is alot of Information to take in, I am currently bidding on a Ecosa super king bed on trade me hoping to get it wish me luck. Mum is coming this weekend wish will be amazing to have whanau here. After surgery I will need alot of help with jobs around the house and groceries and kids, so keep posted where you can help of your available. Thank you all again for your support, it's getting a more real every day, down to my last week at work.
