Please help us get to the Worlds!

The 7 members of the Wanaka Volunteer Road Crash Rescue team who are all a part of the Wanaka Volunteer Fire brigade have been competing for around 4 years in this competition. We recently gained a Wild Card entry to the Australasian competition where we competed against 17 teams from three different countries.

At this competition we managed to come away with a huge number of trophy's including becoming the overall champions. With this win we are now eligible to enter the World Road Rescue Competition which is to be held in France next year. In order to do this we need to fundraise to get there!

Although we really enjoy what we do we put a huge number of volunteer hours into practising, as well as our usual training with the brigade. The skills and knowledge we have gained over the past few years is tremendous and the main beneficiaries are those who are unlucky enough to find themselves in life threatening car accidents. We are now able to extricate patients much faster, more efficiently and more safely which can only be a good thing.
