Raising funds to support Tom with his treatment and living costs on his cancer journey.
New Plymouth, Taranaki
Kia ora Koutou
Many of you will know that Tom has been living with cancer for about 10 years.
We know you will be saddened to hear that the cancer has spread to his brain from his lungs.
Since this was detected in June he has had Radiation Treatment in Palmerston North and is continuing with Chemotherapy.
He is also doing a number of daily alternative cancer treatments as well, which include three weekly Vitamin C Infusions, Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Sessions, taking multiple supplements and has made dietary changes.
He has a positive attitude and thoughts for the future but this dreadful disease means he is unable to drive and unable to work.
As you can imagine the emotional and financial toll this is taking on Tom, his beautiful wife Julie and amazing 11 year old son Benji is huge.
We acknowledge times are currently tight for many, so we understand if a monetary donation is not possible right now, please consider other options like a providing a meal or another service for this whanau.
Tom has given so much to his community over the years in coaching and governance roles we are asking on behalf of this wonderful whanau if you are able to contribute to ease the burden of their ongoing costs - they would be forever grateful.
Nga mihi
I am a friend of the Parsons family
The funds raised will go towards the costs of the various treatments Tom is currently having as well as planning for future treatments. Keytruda is one drug that is not currently funded through Pharmac that has shown good results but this costs $60,000.
