To collect funds to buy around 100 old computers, checked them, installed required software, cover logistics to send them to Tonga College.

We believe that education is a major contributing factor to make Tonga as a thriving country. Our recent visit to Tonga discovered after meeting with a college principal that Tonga College have a very few computers for 700 students.

Students are willing to study computer courses in early stage but due to limitation and availability of computers, they have to wait long time and some of them have no possibility to learn a computer subject at all.

We organise this fund raising platform to help to give all children an equal opportunity.

I am Tonga student pursuing PhD in the University of Waikato. My role is to establish a connection between NZ and Tonga through helping Tongan students to be on the same level in the computer science education as Newzealanders.

Use of funds

All the funds collected will be used to buy second hand computer equipment in New Zealand.

Students/staff from the Computer and Science Department at the University of Waikato will help with installation and upgrading the old computers.

We are planning to pack the computers into a container and ship them to Tonga. The estimate for shipment is included in the goal.

This computers will be send to Tonga College to establish Computer Science Laboratory for people with age of 9-15.
