Tupou came to the Society to ask if he could raise money for the Society while he does all the hard work and becomes lighter, fitter and healthier. Tupou's Aunty is receiving dialysis treatment at Christchurch Hospital and other family members have had chronic kidney disease.
It is a special honour when someone supports your organisation and genuinely wants to create an awareness of kidney disease and help us with our prevention campaigns.
We are willing to take this journey with Tupou and support him in any way he can as he undertakes an amazingly hard journey to avoid kidney disease in the future.
Raising funds for the Society means we can support all those currently receiving treatment for kidney disease also.
About us
The Christchurch Kidney Society is a patient support group who has been serving the renal community for over 40 years. We care for all those with chronic kidney disease, including their families and supporters.
Use of funds
We are a not-for-profit group that supports people with chronic kidney disease under the care of the Christchurch Hospital Nephrology Department (includes West Coast, Kaikoura, Timaru and Ashburton). We aim to create more awareness of kidney disease.
