Top scholar Harri from Invercargill, accepted by four UK elite universities, has chosen the University of Bath and needs your help.
Invercargill, Southland
Top scholar Harri Pickett from Southland Girls’ High School in Invercargill has been accepted by several elite universities, including Imperial College London, University College London, University of Edinburgh, and the University of Bath. After careful consideration, she has chosen the University of Bath for its exceptional biology degree structure and work placement opportunities.
Start Day: Monday 25 September 2024
Harri is passionate about biology, with a keen interest in genetics, cell biology, and field-based research. The University of Bath's career-focused approach and international work placements make it the perfect fit for her aspirations.
Harri's journey began at age 11 with a dream to study in England. She has since attended a medicine program at Cambridge University 2022 and the 2023 International Youth Science Forum, thanks to the generous support of the Southland community.
Now, Harri needs your help to bridge the gap for moving expenses and flights. While she has received a substantial scholarship from an anonymous benefactor, she still needs additional funds to make her dream a reality.
You can support Harri through her where every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Your generosity will help Harri achieve her goals and inspire future generations of New Zealand students.
Thank you for your support!
Harri is my 17 yr old daughter. Harri's Dad is a Caretaker and WFF tax credits are a part of our household income. Harri has been working this year and for the past three years alongside her school work to do what she can to make her dreams a reality.
