We are honouring Iain MacLean by raising funds for the groups he volunteered for that made Pukerua Bay a better place
Pukerua Bay, Porirua
On the 8th of April 2025, Iain MacLean peacefully passed away after a long and brave battle with myeloma.
He had clear, strong values, by which he lived. Naturally kind, he was a determined fighter for the causes in which he believed.
For over 30 years, he was an active member of the Pukerua Bay community, whether it was the local kindergarten, school, soccer club, Residents Association, Kōrero, the Community Garden and Food Forest, PKB Climate Action Rōpū or the Hub. He dedicated his life to making Pukerua Bay a better community and his loss will be greatly felt.
If you would like to make a donation, the funds will be distributed to some of the causes that meant so much to him - building community and sustaining the environment.
I am Iain's wife.
Environmental and community action in Pukerua Bay
The groups will all be local to Pukerua Bay - the soccer club, Residents Association, Hub, climate action group, Korero (community newsletter) and food forest. Iain played a big part in them all. We'll distribute the koha evenly, so noone misses out. The groups will make their own decisions about how best to spend it
