Fundraiser for a vehicle to get the Tutukaka Coast Community Patrol mobile this raumati /summer.
Tutukaka, Northland
The Tutukaka Coast Community Patrol is super keen to hit the road this summer, acting as eyes and ears for the NZ Police and making our Coast a safer place! All we need is a vehicle to keep the Patrol mobile, so we're reaching out to YOU, our Coastie Community to fundraise for some wheels.
How will the Patrol work?
All patrollers are NZ Police vetted and trained by Community Patrols of New Zealand (cpnz.org.nz) before they hit the road. Our patrol currently has three patrollers ready to go, plus two more in training.
The Patrol vehicle will be fitted with a police radio, and patrollers will log on to police comms every time they go out.
The Patrol vehicle will be used actively patrol our Coast. The team will also have a mobile phone that the community can contact at anytime to report a concern and see if a Patrol is available to go out and support them (in an emergency always dial 111!)
If you'd like more information about the Patrol, or would like to volunteer, you can contact us at tutukakacoast@cpnz.org.nz. If you want to learn more about CPNZ you can check them out here - https://cpnz.org.nz/
The Tutukaka Coast Residents and Ratepayers Assocation has generously kicked off our fundraising efforts with a donation of $1,000.00. Nga mihi nui ki a koe, TCR&RA!
