Finished!
2 April 2016Hi everyone. One last post, the Give a Little page closes tomorrow (3 April) at midnight. Please share to anyone that would like to help Dallas out.
I completed the 3000km ride in 25 days. I loved the whole ride, Saw some amazing scenery and met some great people. It as a huge challenge but one that we well worth the effort. Another tick off the bucket list.
For me my ride was a way to raise money for my nephew and help Caelan and Lisa out. Giving them an opportunity to make Dallas' life healthier and safer. It was also a huge personal challenge and something I had wanted to do for a long time.
Firstly I would like to thank everyone who made the ride possible for me. Work giving me time off and family and friends encouraging and supporting me to do it.
I would also like to thank everone for all their support during the ride, kind messages and phone calls. It was great to know so many people were following me on my tracker. A real motivator to keep moving too.
So I did a huge ride and it was tough. Some people said it was such a great thing I had done for my nephew. I am glad I could be the 'vehicle' for the cause.
But in my eyes everyone who has donated are the real hero's. No matter how big or small the donation, it was heart warming to see that people were generous and kind enough to help Dallas out.
I want everyone to know that you have changed someone's life for the better and that myself and Dallas' family are enternally greatful to you all.
We have all managed to raise over $12,500 so far. That is at least a year and a half worth of a continuous glucose monitor for Dallas. Thank you so much for helping make this happen.
Happy trails
Jason
