Let's crank up the social media activity for this campaign, so we can help fund three vital 4WD vehicles desperately needed to evacuate wounded defenders and provide food, drinking water, first aid and protective equipment to Ukraine's heroes. Let's use today to remember the smiles of children - those killed by occupiers, and those illegally deported and forced to denounce their nationality and homeland. Let's help those who sacrifice their own lives to save Ukraine's children. For today, I remember your smile.

"For today, I remember your smile" - sometimes, reflecting on happier times before so many of Ukraine's children were displaced and/or separated from parents, motivates me to do everything I can to help those who have only two choices - defend or submit to an inhumane occupying force, which often means submitting to coercion, violent crimes such as torture and rape, or death. It wasn't so long ago that Ukrainian families could sleep through the night and enjoy moments of their days just like we do here in NZ. If we all make an effort, we can help bring smiles back to children and their families in Ukraine.
