Leukemia patient asking for help

Kaikohe, Northland

Hi there, I was diagnosed with acute leukemia in November 2024. This meant I couldn't work and am still today undergoing ongoing chemotherapy treatment on the sickness benefit. During this time I've had some work needed done on the house, repiling, replacing rotten joists, studs, a floor that is too low, removing a deteriorating concrete hearth and getting the plumbing done as there are leaks. This is costing around $45,000. Due to me being out of work and on the benefit not only can I not afford it, I'm ineligible to borrow for it due to no income. I know there are those in worse situations than me. However I'd be grateful for some help. I have 3 more months of treatment and then I can look for a job. Meanwhile I have these bills hanging over. Please help if able and willing! Thank you kindly!!
