Be a hero and and help me get others Up from Downunder
Whanganui, Manawatu-Wanganui
Call me crazy, but in 2026 I’m riding my motorbike from New Zealand, through India, to the UK – to raise support for a cause that’s close to my heart.
In 1964, Colleen Redit from Whanganui went to India, to help people up from under poverty.. Sixty years on, her work, now known as CMCT, reaches over 5,600 people every day through education, care, and empowerment.
Now, we have a chance to help it go even further, by expanding a hospital at the heart of the community.
That’s the vision I’m riding for. And I’d love your help.
You might not have a spare million dollars lying around — me neither! But what if 100,000 people gave $10 each? Or 10,000 heroes got 9 friends together and raised $100 as a group? Would you commit to that?
All funds go directly to the cause. The ride itself is self-funded along with a few generous sponsors.
So follow along on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook (see links below). Like, subscribe, share it around — and if you’re willing to be a hero - great! Your support will help Colleens legacy continue for generations to come!
Head to the website www.upfromdownunder.co.nz to learn more and support the cause, and follow the ride to see how far we can go together.
All donations will go directly toward refurbishing the hospital, regardless of whether the fundraising target is reached.
