Urgent Evacuation: Help Rescue My Mother, and Young Siblings from Gaza Strip

$10,270 of $120,000 goal
Given by 173 generous donors in 8 weeks

Help reunite my trapped mother and siblings from Gaza, funding their journey to safety in New Zealand, and give them hope to see tomorrow.

Wellington

Ahmed, a proud Palestinian-New Zealander, embarked on a journey 6 years ago as a former refugee, driven by the dream of becoming a doctor, ignited by the health struggles of his homeland, Gaza. Now, nearing the completion of his medical studies in Wellington, his heart aches with despair as his beloved family remains trapped amidst the harrowing conflict in Gaza.

Their lives are fractured by relentless bombings, forcing them to flee multiple times, seeking refuge in tents, deprived of the most basic necessities like food, water, and medical aid. With communication cut off, fear for their safety intensifies by the day.

In Auckland, Ahmed's nine siblings grapple with anguish, their hearts heavy with the inability to reach their loved ones. Each passing day takes its toll on their mother's health, while his youngest siblings bear the weight of unimaginable suffering.

Your generous contributions will pave the way for their evacuation from Gaza, offering a glimmer of hope amid the darkness, as they journey towards the safety of Egypt and, ultimately, the embrace of their family in New Zealand.

As they face insurmountable barriers and the deafening silence of governments, Ahmed calls upon us to defy the odds, amplify our voices, and extend a lifeline to those trapped in the grip of conflict. Every donation, every share, every act of solidarity brings them one step closer to reuniting with their family and reclaiming the chance to live, dream, and thrive once more.
