Urgent Fire Relief for Emily & Her Growing Family in Queenstown

On Sunday, a devastating house fire at Fernhill Queenstown suddenly struck our dear friend Emily and her family in Queenstown, leaving them without a home.

Emily is a dedicated phlebotomist serving our local community at the Queenstown Awanui lab. She lives with her husband, her mother-in-law, and their precious 18-month-old daughter. To make matters even more critical, Emily is currently pregnant with their second baby, due this coming November. In an instant, this hard-working young family lost their haven just months before welcoming their new little one.

While we are incredibly grateful that everyone is physically safe, they now face the immense challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch—finding emergency shelter, securing baby essentials, and preparing a safe home for the newborn. They do have insurance, but the process is lengthy and will not cover all of the associated costs.

This fundraising initiative is organized with love and solidarity by the Queenstown Korean Community to support Emily’s family during their most vulnerable time.

- Securing temporary accommodation and rental relief

- Essential daily supplies and clothing for the family and toddler

- Vital baby essentials for the upcoming arrival in November
