Give the Gift of Breath – Help Our Whānau in Hospice
Breathing Shouldn’t Be a Battle. For many in hospice care, every breath is precious. The simple moments we cherish - laughing with loved ones, whispering "I love you," holding hands in quiet comfort - becomes difficult when breathing is a struggle.
At Mary Potter Hospice, we believe that no one should have to fight for breathing. But right now, we don’t have enough oxygen concentrators to meet the growing need. Some machines need urgent replacement, and others must be added to ensure no patient is left without support.
Help us make sure that no one faces this alone!
Hospice is more than just care; it is a community of love, dignity, and support. Oxygen concentrators are a lifeline, helping our whānau breathe easier, stay present, and spend their moments surrounded by aroha.
But we can’t do this alone.
Our Goal:
We’re raising $18,000 to secure three life-saving Oxygen Concentrators ($5,087 each).
Every donation, big or small, brings comfort and dignity to someone here at your community hospice.
Why Your Support Matters:
• Ensures patients can breathe easier, free from distress
• Allows whānau to share precious last moments together
• Brings comfort, dignity, and peace in their final days
• Allow patients to share meaningful moments with their families
With your help, we can make sure every breath is easier, every moment is filled with love, and no one is left without support.
Mary Potter Hospice has a proud history of care, compassion, and commitment to the people of Wellington, Porirua, and Kāpiti. We have supported people with life-limiting illnesses and their whānau for over 45 years - how and where they want.
