Help our Vanuatu RSE workers after the devastation of Cyclone Harold. Please consider the TOP-UP, so more of your donation reaches them.
Otago
RSE workers from Vanuatu are here in NZ harvesting our apples and can not return home due to COVID-19 lockdown. Cyclone Harold has devastated their homes and communities in the northern islands of Vanuatu.
They become an extended part of our families and the local community also benefits from them being here. These men want to go home to help rebuild some kind of shelter for their families. The majority of their communities men are away working here in NZ.
Anything we raise will go directly to the areas where our workers live to help them with their recovery.
NOTE: $70 would purchase a 25kg bag of rice that would feed a family (2 meals a day) for around 2 weeks.
Thank you to our local New World and 4 Square Store for the donation of rice and chicken which helps the men save their money to take home with them 🥰

THANK YOU! 11 May 2020
I am humbled by the generosity of all that have donated. This fundraising page is coming to an end in the next few days and the amount raised will hugely benefit these men and their families.
It is still unsure when they will be able to travel home to Vanuatu, but I'm hoping this will come clear once we have gone into Level 2.
😲wow, thank you June
