    Today was day one in the medical process. I have to prove that I have no diseases etc. that I could potentially pass on to the vulnerable people in Vanuatu. I hate having blood tests and today I had to do 3!! along with a chest X-ray. These are just the first steps in a LONGGGGG process!

    I have heard some comments that this is a ""glorified holiday"" for me. But I just wanted to comment and ask you to take a minute to think how difficult it will be to live in an undeveloped country for six months. Six months without electricity and very limited contact with the outside world. I personally think I will survive but think about my parents - six months without speaking to their baby!! - every little helps. thank you for all your support
