Vape-Free Kids NZ

Vape-Free Kids NZ (VFKNZ) is a grassroots group calling for urgent action to prevent harm to our children and young people from vaping.

VFKNZ was created on 10 May 2023 and is entirely run by volunteers. We started this Give-A-Little page to raise funds towards the costs involved in our work. Funds will not be used to pay volunteers, but will go towards costs such as printing posters, boosting Facebook posts, and setting up a website. With your support, we can let more people know about our work and grow a stronger voice on this issue.

We now have more than 2000 members from across Aotearoa; they come from all walks of life - parents, whanau, educators, health workers, youth workers - anyone who believes our Kiwi kids deserve a nicotine-free future.

In August we presented petitions to Parliament totalling over 13,000 signatures calling for urgent action on this issue. This is now with the Select Committee and we are urging the incoming government to make this issue a priority for the sake of our kids.

We believe the government needs to act now to further tighten restrictions on sales, marketing, and access to vapes. Sadly, a new wave of addiction is already starting amongst our tamariki and rangatahi. Please help us to push for change.
