We can use all the help we can get in providing much needed veterinary care... to reduce the suffering of Australian wildlife.
Canterbury
Our small Aussie-based veterinary charity group, Vets for Compassion, has 10 years experience sending trained veterinarian volunteers into bushfire situations to treat and rescue wildlife.
The current fires pose the biggest ever challenge to our team and resources. Our director, Dr Elaine Ong, and her husband Dr Chris Barton are the first veterinary responders into Malacoota and Tallangata, called in by desperate residents seeing 100's of badly burned Koala crawling from the charred and burning bush.
We are a small group with no paid team members. All donations go directly to supporting our team of vets with supplies for the animals.

supplies for the animals... drugs, medications, bandaging material. Accomodation, flights and transport for our team members to get where they are needed.
THANKYOU!! 14 January 2020
Thankyou all so much for your generosity. Our little team has been overwhelmed with both the financial and much needed emotional support we have received as we continue with this tough work... and theres so much more to do.
Here's a picture of little Dora... captured by our vets a week ago, her burns and dehydration treated and now released back to a site with plenty of food.... so rewarding and we couldn't do it without you :)
