Vikatoria Fong Toy needs urgent medical treatment

Bula Vinaka, my name is Vikatoria Fong Toy. I'm a 47 year old female, a Fijian national of Rotuman descent and this is my story.

I was diagnosed with Renal carcinoma aka kidney cancer stage 4 on January 18th 2017. The late diagnosis meant some of the cancer had spread to my lower spine. The doctors told me I had a one year chance of survival and a small percentage of patients live up to five years. I was shocked, angry and hurt when I heard the news. My whole world came crashing down and the thought of leaving behind my husband, children and grandchildren made me more determined to fight this horrible disease.

I had surgery on my lower spine on February 8th and radiation by mid March. By the end of March I had started my five cycles of chemotherapy.

I was lucky enough my insurance and the huge support from family and friends was able to cover my medical bills, accommodation and living expenses while here in New Zealand.

Since arriving home in May 2017 I started jucing, detoxing and using herbal medicines to help with my recovery.

I had to leave my job on June 24th in the hotel industry because of my ailing health. However I saw this as an opportunity spending more time with family and doing the things I never had a chance to do.

In September 2017 I had a biopsy done on my lower arm but results were inconclusive. A CT scan later revealed I have secondary bone cancer which can only be treated abroad. I am determined to continue fighting this debilitating disease and spend more quality time with the people I love.

Unfortunately my insurance money has run out and I am now relying on your generous donations to help make my dreams come true.
