Waimauku Adventure Playground

$565 of $20,000 goal
Given by 14 generous donors in around 9 months

This facility is for Waimauku & Muriwai families, with playground, picnic tables and shade. Waimauku Lions will match $1 for $1 raised.

Auckland

Waimauku Lions have committed to providing this new adventure playground for our children. With your input we now have tables/seats, shade areas and additional play equipment.

It is intended that this facility would be for the use of local children, parents, and grandparents of Waimauku and Muriwai.

It will not be lit at night. Parking will be as it is at this time and there is no provision for toilets in this initial stage.

Total cost is $200,000.

This givealittle page is an opportunity for families and individuals to also get involved. Waimauku Lions will donate $1 for every $1 you donate.

We are also seeking corporate support.

I am on the playground planning committee and treasurer of the Lions Club of Waimauku.

About us

Lions is the largest single Service Organisation in the world with some 1.4 million members, 45,000 clubs in 206 countries. It has a seat on the United Nations.

Locally the Waimauku Lions has been providing service to the local Community for over 35 years.

So far this year the Lions Club has installed the beautiful clock at Waimauku, successfully run the Waimauku Gala, and we are now fundraising for a playground for the local Muriwai and Waimauku residents.

Latest update

reopening the page  20 September 2016

We knew that the Muriwai and Waimauku community were generous, so we have decided to keep this page going for a little longer.

Behind the scenes, we are very close to getting things moving and begin building, but we are still a little short of the full price.

Any private donations received will go directly towards the playground.
