Revamp Freewheel stage 3 - WTP

$5,180 of $5,000 goal
Given by 20 generous donors in 11 weeks

Raising funds towards having the third section of our MTB Trail "Freewheel" rebuilt by a professional trail company.

Wainuiomata Coast, Lower Hutt

Our MTB Trail "Freewheel" was built by a dedicated crew of volunteers over several years and was originally an intermediate grade 3 trail. Over the last few years it’s got progressively narrower, rockier and more rutted due to the weather and lots of bike traffic.

We are looking to raise funds to restore it to its former glory by improving the flow, rebuilding bigger berms, installing better drainage and doing some surfacing work.

Over the last year we have managed to obtain funding to redo the first two sections of the trail.

Currently we are still looking to raise funds for the last section.

This will allow us to get a contractor to build a bypass of the "switchback section", improve the surface and have it in the same condition and grade as the rest of the trail.

Use of funds

Funds raised will all go towards the Time and costs of our professional Trail builder.
