Wanaka Lake Swim
Our Head Coach Cameron is going to attempt to swim the length of the lake to raise money for the club, and other local charities.

Our Head Coach Cameron is going to attempt to swim the length of the lake to raise money for the club, as well as Wanaka Search and Rescue and Wanaka Cat Rescue. He will be supported by swimmers and parents from the club who will kayak, boat, and swim alongside him.
The attempt will start in Makarora and will finish at the log cabin in town. We have over 10 swimmers who have volunteered to swim alongside and we have a lot of parents and younger swimmers who are going to support with boats and kayaks.
Use of funds
Any money made will be split one third each between Wanaka Swim Club, Wanaka Search and Rescue, and Wanaka Cat Rescue. The swim club money will go towards new equipment, travel costs for swimmers attending National meets, and club costs.
