HERE is your guide on HOW to set up a Repair Cafe in Aotearoa New Zealand!
Nationwide
The first Repair Cafe Handbook Aotearoa is a new resource for anyone who is keen to learn how to set up a repair cafe in Aotearoa New Zealand. The Handbook and its associated 'Volunteer Kit' and 'Forms Pack' draws on the experience of many repair cafe organisers and intends to offer our growing repair cafe community practical guidance on how to set up a repair cafe.
*** We're proud of our first handbook, and we'd like to share it with our supporters for a minimum donation of $25!
*** Please make sure to share your name and email address with Repair Network Aotearoa when you donate, so we can get in touch to send your handbook.
*** You may not be able to donate the $25, and if you're donation is less, we still appreciate your support of our organisation!
Repair Cafes are pop-up events where volunteer repair experts help visitors to fix their broken household items for free. People share and learn repair skills together and how to maintain products and extend the longevity of their treasured belongings. It is a lot of fun and helps keeping stuff out of landfill.
NOTE that Repair Cafe Aotearoa NZ (RCANZ) is currently umbrellaed by the Community Enterprise Network Trust (CENT) who manages our accounts, hence the link to CENT on the Donation page.
The mission of Repair Network Aotearoa is to foster a culture of repair among the community, businesses and government agencies in New Zealand. The network enhances repair opportunities through its wide network and resources, actively advocating for a sustainable future and resilient communities.
Your minimum $25 donation gives you access to the Repair Cafe Aotearoa Handbook and its associated Volunteer Kit and Forms Pack as well as personal support by RCANZ to set up your repair cafe.
