$1,353 of $1,200 goal
Given by 33 generous donors in 12 weeks

Fundraising to purchase much needed dog/cat traps to help out in our community.

Takanini, Auckland

Dog trap and large animal trap.

About us

We are a small, independent non-profit charity caring for cats, dogs and other animals in South Auckland. We're run by volunteers. Our purpose is to rescue, treat any injuries then desex, vaccinate, microchip, flea & worm and find forever homes.

Use of funds

To purchase one or two new new cat/dog traps to help the rescue capture, desex and rehabilitate stray cats. And also to help in areas where roaming dogs are attacking and killing beloved cats and other pets.

Recently there has been an increase in local dogs catching and killing neighbourhood cats. We are raising funds to buy one or two of these traps so we can hopefully catch these roaming dogs and put a stop to the senseless non stop attacks and the killing of much loved family pets. The traps will also be useful for catching feral cats.

Suitable for trapping most dogs and other larger animals. Will also trap cats and possums.

Made from hot dipped galvanised steel, for protection against rust and the elements.

• Dimensions: 1500mm long, 480mm wide, 530mm high (not including the handles)

• Weight - approximately 28kg

o Can be disassembled and flat packed for ease of storage

and transportation

• 2 way activating trip plate o Humane live capture

o Easy to set and use.

Bait is use to lure the target animal into the trap. The trap is activated by a trip plate at the rear of the trap, causing the trap door to swing closed and lock securely, trapping the dog or animal in the cage.
