I don't want to be a homeless knome, but could you thrive in an environment like this?
Following a tragic loss my daughter and I inherited a 1970s house. After opening a laundry cupboard which hadn't been used in months because there were clothes in there belonging to my greatest love I just couldn't throw away when he passed, I found a spectacular variety of moulds, then that the hot water cylinder had leaked, then that I had to remove the cylinder, replace the floor and walls between the kitchen and laundry and floor coverings. Quite stunning if you like interpretive art, if not, and instead suffer a mulitude of health conditions including asthma, it has meant a tsunami 'ripple effect' and as you can see "she's a big job", the task is overwhelming and it's exacerbating my health on multiple levels. I usually have a carer come in 3 times a day to make sure I take my meds and remember to eat and drink to keep me well (I won't go into 'long version' of what my complicated health conditions are) but currently I can't even stay in the house and it has been weeks. I'm feeling frayed.
I have hefty quotes for building, electrical, hot water system replacement, plumbing and flooring tradies and then I need to consider decontamination. All and any funds will go towards the project even if the entire goal is not met.
You did WHAT?! 28 September 2022
I contacted the builders today to see if they were kicking the rebuild into action this week only to find the main guy had an altercation with a wood chipper and won't be back onboard until at least next week :( Another week minimum out of the house. It's going to get better though right?
