Watering the trees on the Hope railway reserve for the community

Over a year ago, I decided to turn an empty patch of land into an edible walkway along the railway reserve in Hope. We now have 119 trees planted and 174 plants all up that will need water during the summer. In order to keep the trees alive I will need to carry water from the river to the reserve. This comes at a cost including fuel for my vehicle so i am asking for assistance from the community to help fund these extra costs.
Use of funds
The money will be spent on expenses in order to keep the trees alive during the hot summer months.

Watering of trees on the Railway Reserve Hope 1 November 2023
So far we have been able to get our watering system operating with a 1000ltre tank on a trailer & filling it at our local creek with a small water pump. I then take it down by road to the reserve to water the trees & by doing this some of the trees that were looking streeted are now looking good.

Hello, Thank you so much for your donation, it will be put to good use by not just helping us keep them alive but also to getting posts to protecting them all. Also as we will have to replace the damaged ones that also will most likely have some costs, but I am hoping on having he proceeds from the sale of two Quad Bikes to fund all damage. Hi Brent, Thank you so much for your donation it will be put to good use to help us not just keep the trees alive bu also to go towards replacing some trees. I have also got posts ready to collect from Waimea Estates some broken posts that I will post & then get a tractor to drive them into the ground to protect all we have got planted. It takes a lot of work for me to do this as the last time it took me over a days work to collect 80 posts & point on my own. But I will not let small minded individuals beat us. I have already got posts organised for me to collect from Waimea Estates that I have to point & then get them driven into the ground to protect the trees.
