WE CAN MAKE MAGIC removes the financial and logistical barriers between a young Invercargill audience and a quality children’s show.

Southland

Spray and Wipe are two cleaners who have been hired for their most exciting job ever, cleaning a magician’s house! But when they accidentally let the magic out of its box, everything is turned topsy-turvy... Now, the audience must help Spray and Wipe think of a plan to get the magic back in the box before the magician comes home, as her house gets messier and messier!

Gillies Creative and McCarthy Media & Communications present Rollicking Entertainment's 'Messy Magic Adventure', the stadium show especially for all Invercargill students in Years 1-3 on Friday, November 9th.

Designed to awaken a love for theatre in children, WE CAN MAKE MAGIC removes the financial and logistical barriers between a young audience and a quality children’s show. Funding has been secured to stage this event at ILT Stadium Southland, the performers have been booked, and now your contribution is sought to help us send busses to all of the schools to transport our young audience.

In total over 2,000 children will get to experience 'Messy Magic Adventure' for a nominal entry fee of a gold coin. To transport everyone safely to the stadium, 44 busses are required, which will cost $5,000. That's ten sponsors (businesses and community groups) each contributing $500. Achievable? We think so!

It is hoped that memories of attending our magical morning will help to ignite a life-long passion for live theatre in our audience, thus securing a place for the arts in their own culture and assuring a future for the dramatic arts in Southland. Together, WE CAN MAKE MAGIC.

Use of funds

The funds raised will help to pay for busses to transport over 2,000 children from their schools to the 'Messy Magic Show' at ILT Stadium Southland. To transport everyone safely, 44 busses are required, costing $5,000.
