We provide respite, emergency, and transitional care for at risk children in Northland.

Te Ata Rangi Rangatahi is a hands on wrap-around service for at risk Tamariki and youth. Located in Northland, New Zealand, we provide respite and emergency housing for Tamariki in foster care. We provide homes that are involved in the local community, and give our children a home full of aroha.

Our homes are based near Northlands’ stunning beaches. Our program offers a holistic approach, we make the most of our coastal environment and all that it has to offer. We make use of innovative strategies and research, implement proven programs and promote sound relationships in our Tamariki’s lives. We aim to break the cycle of neglect and family struggles, and to make the future bright for all children and youth.

Te Ata Rangi Rangatahi is a place where all Tamariki from all different backgrounds and circumstances are loved, valued, and most importantly, where they feel safe. We follow traditional Tikanga Maori and offer a multi cultural environment.

We currently have two purpose built homes under construction, and are now fundraising to furnish these homes, and set them up with everything we need for the Tamariki, including inside and outside toys, clothing, pyjamas, toiletries, linen etc. so we are ready as soon as the homes are completed.

As well as furnishing the homes we will need a van and a car, to transport the children.
