Living with a C6 spinal cord injury
Waikato
On January 8th 2018, Anthony who is 21, had an accident, that left him fighting for his life.
Anthony broke his neck at the C6 vertebrae and he is lucky to still be with us. Due to his injury Anthony has been left paralysed from the armpits down. Anthony is facing the challenges ahead of him with an amazing strength and courage. At the moment he is going through rehabilitation to learn how to adapt to life.
Anthony and his partner Imogen, who is 19, have been saving hard to marry in a few years time. With the changes in their lives they will not have the finances to do this and I know that the accident has taught them, life is too short. All they wish for is to be married. Before the accident Anthony was a trainee Arborist and had a love of the outdoors. I am hoping that we will be able to give them a wedding day that can incorporate this.
I am a hoping family, friends and strangers will donate any amount they can, to help give Anthony and Imogen the wedding day they both deserve.
Anthony and Imogen are the strongest couple I know. Life is very challenging for them right now and they deserve to have a wonderful special day.
The money will be spent on the hire of a venue, photographer, outfits and all the extras needed for a perfect wedding day. If the wedding does not go ahead the money will be donated to a Spinal Injury Charity
Thanks you, you lovely family. Wish you could join us for the special day. Wont be the same without you. Will live stream to you. Love you loads. xxxx
