Sponsorship drive to help keep production of the Wellington Glean Report sustainable, and enable all subscribers to contribute financially.

Wellington

The Wellington Glean Report is your twice weekly fix of science and knowledge events in Wellington emailed direct to your inbox for free. Subscribe here: www.gleanreport.com

It is sponsored by Litmaps and the Wellington Branch of the Royal Society of New Zealand.

Many subscribers have indicated that they would like to support the Glean Report financially too.

This campaign gives subscribers the opportunity to contribute, while keeping the service free for those who can't afford, or prefer not, to pay for the Glean Report. We are hoping to raise $4,000 in this round of crowdfunding to cover the costs of running the Glean Report.

This sponsorship drive follows on from five similar experiments conducted over the last 11 years to see how much support there is in the community for the Glean Report.

The Glean Report is curated by:

- Ruth Beran, a science journalist with more than 15 years’ experience in print, radio and television; and

- Melanie Newfield, a Wellington-based writer and researcher who is passionate about making the science behind important issues accessible to everyone.

Use of funds

Funds will help support the production of the Glean Report, including sourcing events, editing and adding them to the website and twice-weekly e-newsletter, plus costs such as web hosting and domains.
