Help us to make Wellington Free Yoga Day possible!
Wellington
Wellington Free Yoga Day is an event that happens once a year in the Greater Wellington Region.
This Labour Day, 24th October, people of all ages and abilities can try yoga for the first time, experience a new style of yoga, or check out a new studio. With over 40 classes on offer, it will be a day of yoga for everyone, from absolute beginners to experienced yogis. Anyone curious about yoga (including kids and the more mature) are invited to try this ancient practice for free.
In collaboration with Off the Mat Into the World NZ, we are attempting to break open the perceived idea that yoga is only for yogis, and give everyone a chance to try it for themselves!
Why we need to raise money? We are asking for money from the greater New Zealand public for Wellington Free Yoga Day because we need a little bit of dosh to cover the rental of Aro Valley Hall, sound equipment hire, webpage domain name/hosting and maybe some printing costs if we get enough. This is the absolute bare bones that we have to pay to run this day. The event is completely voluntarily organised, by two coordinators, a web design volunteer, a graphic design volunteer and of course the wonderful yoga teachers of Wellington who offer their time to teach a yoga class.
