Whakamana Ora is a charitable trust in South Auckland, which offers:

• COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME: Identifying, equipping & empowering emerging leaders from the community to become agents of change in their own lives, whānau and "spheres of influence".

• COMMUNITY SERVICES: Serving our communities through love in action, workshops, support groups, and aftercare. We are mobilising volunteers and providing opportunities for people to lead and help bring about community change.

We rely on donations, koha and volunteers to run our programmes. Every little bit helps.

From one of our Community Leadership Programme graduates now a community leader:

I now know my calling - to work with the community in the area of inmates being released from prison, that I have an opportunity to connect with through my past as an ex-gang member, a person of unforgiveness, drug addiction, depression, and quite a few other things. About us

Whakamana Ora Trust is a registered Charitable Trust supporting people on a journey to restore their mana and fulfill their true potential. We offer community services, workshops, support groups and our Community Leadership programme - raising leaders from the community, for the community.

Use of funds

Funds raised will be used to help cover the cost of delivering our leadership program which is free for all our participants. We provide dinner each week and printed resources. It will also help us cover costs as we start up community workshops, support groups etc. where needed we also want to be able to refer people to counselors and be able to cover those costs as well as give our volunteers a koha so they aren’t out of pocket for things like petrol!
