Te help a whanau rebuild their home and life after floods in Wellington.

Wellington

On Sunday the 29th November, Wellington was hit with torrential rain resulting in flooding all over the area. Juanita and Shinelia live on Airlie road at one of the lowest points in the street and their home has been destroyed by the floods including everything inside.

Juanita and Shinelia came back to New Zealand 3 years ago to be near whanau with only a few bags to build a new life. After a few years of striving to build their new life and home they have now been dealt the worst blow and lost almost everything they own.

The floods have destroyed photos, personal belongings, furniture and even their car only bought less than a month ago.

The rental home is now destroyed and Juanita and Shinelia have no where to live, they will have to find a new home right at the time of year that should be the happiest. Whanau had no contents insurance though thankfully did have car insurance.

Any help you can give is amazing.
