Hi all great day today - I hired a mobility van today and picked the big man up for a days outing - 1st real day away from the hospital
Great fun quite a few laughs with a couple of beers and something to eat at Dave's
Steve really enjoyed himself and so did we

Hi all we had a great day with Boobs yesterday at Burwood spinal unit, Ants and Debs flew down from the North Island on Thursday and visited him Friday and Trish and I drove up from Dunedin to surprise the big man on Saturday
We spent a good 3hrs with him chatting and having a few good laughs - it was great to see him
I can tell you he's really determined to move forward and was very keen to show us the progress he's making after having physio for the last week or so - still a long way to go but he's fighting hard
You can see a new up loaded picture on the Givealittle page of us all with Boobs after Dave helped him with a MacDonalds burger which he really enjoyed

Had a video call with the big man yesterday and he's certainly a bit more upbeat especially now that he's got a bit of stubble on his chin,that signature beard will be back in no time

Steve's family have asked that I convey to you all that they absolutely appreciate all the kind words and loving thoughts that every one of you have offered along with your generous donations
They are extremely grateful for the care that Steve is receiving and the support and love that all of you are sending him
I saw Steve on Saturday and can tell you he's not lost that great sense of humor of his
He's also showing fantastic determination to get his body moving along the road to recovery

I talked to Steve yesterday via video call and he appeared to be in good spirits
It's going to be small steps on the way to improving health so let's send him our best wishes

With just on $7000 raised this will go a long way in paying some bills for Steve that must be mounting up
The big man is now in Christchurch and soon to go to Burwood spinal unit,he has had some visitors and they tell me progress has been slow
